Saturday, November 19th 12pm -4pm Adding herbs to your hand-made soaps, toners, salves and creams. Advanced Class. $15 for IBN members, $20 for everyone else
In this class we will use steam distillation to demonstrate how essential oils and hydrosols are made and how to use them in your hand-made products. (We will be distilling local lavender...mmm) We will also make an oil infusion with herbs. Please bring a 1 or 2 ounce clean glass bottle or jar (tinted is best) if you want to take some home. (depending on how much we make!) If you don't have any, I will have some avaialbe for a small donation. No experince in distillation or herbs is necessary, though you may be confused if you have never made skin care products before.
In the month of November, I also have private distillation classes in Witch Hazel, Lavender, and Pine. Each session is $250 and includes the herb materials as well as a finished product. If there is something you want to distill (such as your own rosemary, etc) just ask...we can make lots of groovy things happen! Email to ThePimpleWhisperer to set up a time. 3 hours min.
